As a Texan, through and through, I was raised to love bass fishing, outlaw country, and the night sky.

I attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and majored in Biology with a concentration in Ecology. I completed an Honors Thesis in Dr. Bala Chaudhary’s Lab, where I developed an automated spore-finding algorithm for imaging arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Additionally, I researched permafrost microbiomes at the nearby US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL).

I am now a Department of Defense SMART Scholar and am continuing my work with CRREL to understand soil microbial dynamics in the changing Arctic.
In my free time, I love to rock climb, read, and explore the Everglades with my friends. This includes a lot of hiking, birding, and even some astrophotography!
